MLT Version 2.0The Mash/Lauter Tun also had to be modified. I removed the old heater coil/manifold from inside the MLT, leaving just the regular manifold in the bottom of the cooler. I added a new return manifold and adapted the outlet so that I could check the wort temperature as it exits the MLT. The thermocouple is connected using the same idea as I use for the HLT thermocouple, with the compression fitting and the rubber stopper. Here's a drawing. |
