Polysulfone Quick Disconnects
I upgraded my quick disconnects to new high-temp polysulfone quick disconnects. I got them from US Plastics. These are the same ones that Movingbrews.com used to sell. My old brass quick disconnects worked well. My only issue was that they can get pretty hot while brewing. I usually need to move a hose from say, the output of the HLT to the output of the Mash Tun or the Mash Tun to the HLT. More than likely, this involves me trying to do this quickly so it doesn't hurt so bad or if I actually think about it first, I might put on a pair of work gloves or something. Most of the time it's the former. The new ones should alleviate this problem. Although I may have to come up with a way of protecting the disconnect attached to the output or the boil kettle, we'll see. I'll post more about this once I brew a few times with these.
